Ferrari to introduce Town and Country Option
Maranello 18/10/98
Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo announced the latest in customer
appearance packages today, a move sure to make the already sought after
cars even more desirable. "We have found that our traditional customer
base has shifted some and we wanted to attract them by offering the ultimate
in personalizing options, the Town and Country." Reportedly in response
to high sales of SUVs the new option will fit custom wood-like veneer trim
to both sides and an identifying Town and Country badge to the back. "The
days of relying on our past wins in the Mille Miglia and Le Mans are long
past and we must now respond to the needs of our customers," he said.
Michael Schumacher, Ferrari's number one F1 driver had this to say, "I find the option very attractive. It reminds me of my homeland in Germany where you are surrounded by forests. It's like driving alongside the Nurburgring every day."
The option will also be available with a fender shield reminiscent of those on Ferrari race cars from the past but instead of a prancing horse will have a prancing deer complete with horns.
